Serving Manatee and Sarasota Counties, is dedicated to providing free beds* to Kids that need them. Organizations and government agencies contact us when they learn of a child in need. We started as a small mission of the First United Methodist Church of Bradenton in 2017. As requests in 2021 for children’s beds increased, the organization incorporated and received its 501(c)3 nonprofit status.

Our Mission
Beds for Kids Inc, serving Manatee and Sarasota Counties, is a faith-based nonprofit corporation established in Bradenton, Florida, whose mission is to provide free beds for kids that need them. As a faith-based organization, we acknowledge and call upon God for help, guidance, and purpose in fulfilling our mission.
*All requests for beds must be received from a school, government, or nonprofit agency.
What We Do
Help Kids Receive A Bed
Your generous donation of $250 will provide a child with a new twin bed, linens, Bible, teddy bear, rug, and a story book of their own. Anything you can offer will make a big difference in the lives of children in our community. Please give what you can today.

Our goal is to provide free beds for children who need them. We receive calls from many organizations who have identified a child in need. A wonderful group of volunteers come together to build the beds. Volunteer children paint the bed slats with bright colors and Bible verses to inspire the kids. The beds are delivered to the home and assembled with the children’s help. Gifts are provided for each child, and we pray with the family before we leave.
Our hope is to provide beds for all the calls of the children in need, and with God’s help and yours, we know we can.
